You'll have your own username and password, which will allow you to log into your members-only dashboard at wonderfulworldofvoice.com. That's where you'll find the Wonderful World of Voice library filled to the brim with teaching, recordings, and a heap of supplemental materials to support your growth. And I'm creating new things all the time! As new material is added, you'll find it all on your dashboard, and you'll get emails when new content is available so you don't have to keep checking!

Weekly live coaching and AMA mentorship sessions all take place via Zoom, so you can attend from anywhere! And all sessions are recorded, so you won't miss a beat if life happens and you miss something live. You'll also get supplemental materials to support your learning (evidence-based research and tools to support your practice, for example) alongside the content for each topic, so you can review as much and whenever you need.

You'll have access to all the materials as long as you're in MVP, too - so that means the mountain of resources just keeps piling up as you go! 

There's no pressure to attend anything, ever! But when possible, we will put the replays of each session inside the course platform so you can refer back to them at any time.

Once we get it finalized, you'll find information on how to access your private community by logging in to your dashboard and taking the "welcome" module. Once you log in and complete your profile, it'll be set up so it can pop up right inside your course platform. This way, you can engage with the material and your colleagues in one easy place.

The community gives us all a chance to talk between sessions, to consolidate our learning, to share supplemental resources and ideas, and to post your homework videos for feedback from your master coach.

Depending on how much experience you have when you join MVP, you may find your time spent preparing varies - even week to week.

In general, you'll have access to recorded content you can watch on demand as much or as little as you need to before live coaching calls. In class, you'll have the opportunity to get feedback on the skills you're developing as you fill in any gaps in your knowledge.

On occasion, you'll have the option to do homework to submit for feedback or to help consolidate your learning, and you can do as much or as little as you like. The more you do, the more you'll reap the rewards and see both your skills and confidence soar!

This means that each week you'll want to set aside some time to:

• watch recordings and learn, study, or review the content
• practice the skills you're learning and implement coaching you receive
• work on homework assignments for feedback or build your own resources from what you're learning to use in your practice
• read and review articles and supplemental resources that are available to augment your practice
• join a 90 minute live mentorship class Monday nights at 8pm EDT
• come to weekly Friday at 10am EDT "AMA"-style clinical consultation office hours with your questions whenever you're available (and you can always submit questions ahead and watch the recording or check the community for answers)
• participate in the community where you can take the discussion deeper with your peers

Like most things in life, you get out of MVP what you put into it, and there are a lot of ways to engage! You can do as much or as little as you want and need to reach your own personal and professional goals.

It IS a mentorship program, and you WILL get certificates - but no, to be clear, it is not a certification. And no letters will be added to the end of your name upon the completion of this program. And here's why: you don't need either of those to be successful in your voice pro career, and that would add wicked costs to the program that we feel makes it inaccessible. And the words unnecessary and inaccessible don't fit with our mission!

But you WILL get gorgeous certificates you can put up on your wall to show your commitment to your craft and your own professional development, and when your peers hear you're doing this mentorship, they'll swoon with envy - it's every bit as fun as it is supportive!

And while you don't need a certification to do this kind of work, fully participating in something like a mentorship program can certainly give you the support you've been looking for and the professional edge you need to achieve your goals of going far beyond the minimum as a voice pro. Niche areas like this do require supplemental training - a mentorship helps ensure you're not going it alone!

And sure, some people will be super impressed that you did this... but not because you get to add letters to your name. They'll be impressed because of the depth of your commitment to your craft that you show by putting in the kind of time and effort required to do something this intensive. They'll also be blown away by your comprehensive knowledge and confidence in voice. And that's a great feeling, isn't it?

I hear you. Professional development isn't cheap! And I've been there more times than I can count. It's actually one of the reasons I bundled so many resources together in one mentorship program: while there's definitely a cost, this is also assuredly a STAGGERING amount more affordable than trying to cobble this much content together yourself.

We also know that efficiency is incredibly cost effective. Many of the components of MVP exist as stand-alone options; but paying for them all "a la carte" across a year would probably cost more than grad school! Putting it together in one program means we can offer everything together AND at more than 90% less. And the reason we can make this happen is because of the power of small group learning

But I totally get it. And access is one of the most important parts of our mission. So that's why I'm giving you the following ways to help you get what you really want for YOU:

MVP grads will tell you it certainly feels like we cover the entire universe!! It's a staggering amount of content. But no. We can't possibly cover EVERYTHING that's ever been said about voice in however long you choose to stay. 

But that won't stop us from trying to cover as much as possible!!

The modules listed above are what we'll cover for certain, but we do go off-roading. A LOT. We get into a lot of expansive discussions, parallel exercises, research in related fields, and more. There are also experts who join us with their perspectives from time to time, so that can also add to what we cover. And we're always working on what MVPs need in the moment - which is why every term is so unique.

This mentorship is designed for the speech pathologist who wants to work in voice and voice disorders, the voice teacher or Singing Voice Specialist who wants to strengthen their skills in working with voices that need a little extra TLC, or the singer who just wants to really reeeeeeeally understand their instrument and how to optimize it fully. All things related to that are fair game! And the experience and questions each MVP brings to the group helps to shape where we go - this is YOUR mentorship. So you'll get to help decide what else we cover!

One area we don't cover very often is laryngectomy, and that includes things like voice prosthetics, TEP/stoma care, or esophageal speech. These are such highly specialized areas of voice that only acute care clinicians find themselves in, so it hasn't been included here. Yet. But if enough people ask, then build it we shall! Regardless, the content we cover here will certainly be helpful to clinicians who work in acute settings, even those who work with laryngectomees, but it is not specifically or solely a medical SLP program. (MedSLPs, you're more than welcome! We love you just the same!)

You're exactly where you need to be no matter what stage you're at. The beauty of the process is that you get a chance to work through the core content in both at-your-own-pace and live what-you-need-when-you-need-it formats. This allows everyone to work to their experience and strengths; you'll get a boost in any area you need it, and can be challenged to go deeper in any area when you're ready! If you're newer to voice therapy, evidence based voice care, or working with injured voices, you may want to spend more time each week working through the materials. And don't worry - if you're already experienced, you'll find there are lots of new and juicy things to tuck into as well!

Everyone will be at different places in their own journey, and that's the beauty of community - you'll all lift each other up as you each have individual strengths and areas you want to grow in! Thanks to the info sessions where you can ask as many questions as you need, you can be sure that if you feel MVP is right for you, you'll be right for MVP, too.

Need? No. Want? Absolutely!

You don't actually need anything specific to decide you want to be a passionate champion of voice care, vocal health, and to help voice users find more joy and ease in their craft. But depending on your career path, you may need a few things to help you get there. (And none of those *need* to be related to singing, either, don't worry!)

If you're an SLP, you need a license to do voice therapy. If you're a voice teacher, you might be thinking about yourself as a Singing Voice Specialist (see voicefoundation.org for an excellent explanation). If you're a voice user working on your own instrument, you'll get all the support you need to feel like you belong - and are here to support you with anything you need, too. This mentorship definitely fills in the gaps that our training programs in ALL of these areas leave behind.

But this program is not a requirement to practice in your respective voice pro fields.

However... Let's be real. These areas of practice in voice (injured or disordered voices, tenacious or intractable vocal challenges etc) are sub-specialities, and therefore DO require additional training. There are lots of ways to get that training and experience - like formal educational programs, clinical rotations, CFYs, supervision, observation (paired with something more participatory), and continuing education, both online and in person. However, cobbling together a smorgasbord of experiential opportunities is incredibly challenging, time consuming, and expensive (speaking from personal experience), and it's hard to fill in all the gaps one webinar at a time (again, we've tried this too!), so...

...while you don't need MVP, you just might want it - especially if you are incredibly passionate about voice, you want to elevate your knowledge and craft, and you want to show up as an expert in your voice community.

The Multidisciplinary Experience Portfolio acts a lot like a "minor" in a formal education program. This area of the process is where many voice pros just need a few more points (granted for experience, training, or knowledge acquired) to successfully fill out their portfolio in 3 supplemental areas.

MVP may help you prepare your "minor" or secondary areas in the following professional practice categories: 

• acting and speaking voice habilitation
• laryngology
• singing voice habilitation
• speech language pathology

• voice science & vocology research

You need to successfully complete (earn enough points for) 3 Multidisciplinary Experience areas alongside your primary area of voice. As you can see, MVP could easily help you complete all 3 of those depending on your needs!
